Tenth Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium ANTS-X
|
The ANTS meetings, held biannually since 1994, are the premier international forum for new research in computational number theory. They are devoted to algorithmic aspects of number theory, including elementary number theory, algebraic number theory, analytic number theory, geometry of numbers, arithmetic algebraic geometry, finite fields, and cryptography.
The 10th ANTS meeting will be held July 9-13, 2012 at the University of California, San Diego.
News
The proceedings volume has been published by Mathematical Sciences Publishers. The home page for the volume is here.
The conference is over! Thanks to all who participated; we still welcome your slides, poster files, and photo links. The next ANTS meeting will take place in Gyeongju, Korea in August 2014. Claus Fieker has also provided a preliminary expression of interest for ANTS 2016 in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
In order to continue the discussion from the business meeting about ANTS proceedings, Steven Galbraith has created a web forum to which we invite all ANTS participants to contribute.
Invited speakers
- Manjul Bhargava (Princeton University)
- Nils Bruin (Simon Fraser University)
- Wen-Ching Winnie Li (Pennsylvania State University)
- Nils-Peter Skoruppa (Universität Siegen)
- Andrew Sutherland (MIT)
About the program
As at previous ANTS conferences, the program will include several invited addresses, a greater number of contributed lectures, a poster session, a rump session, and a conference banquet. There will be a proceedings volume.Selfridge Prize
At each ANTS meeting, the Selfridge Prize is awarded to the best submitted paper as judged by the program committee; the prize carries a $500 cash award funded by the Number Theory Foundation. The prize for ANTS X has been awarded to Andrew Sutherland for his paper "On the evaluation of modular polynomials".Program Committee
